DITO SIM Registration via Online Link and App 2026

If you recently purchased a DITO SIM card or are planning to switch to DITO Telecommunity, completing your DITO SIM Registration is the very first step you cannot skip. Under Republic Act No. 11934 — commonly known as the SIM Registration Act — all mobile subscribers in the Philippines are legally required to register their SIM cards. Without registration, your SIM will be deactivated, and you will lose access to calls, texts, and mobile data.

This comprehensive guide walks you through everything you need to know: what DITO SIM Registration is, why it matters, what documents to prepare, and how to register step by step — through the app, website, SMS, or in-store. Whether you are a Filipino citizen, an OFW, a foreign national, a student, or a business owner — this guide covers you completely.

For the official registration portal, visit ditosimregister.com and follow the steps outlined in this guide.

What Is DITO SIM Registration?

DITO SIM Registration is the mandatory process of linking your DITO SIM card to your verified personal identity. This requirement stems from the Philippine government’s push for greater accountability and security in the telecommunications sector.

DITO Telecommunity — the Philippines’ third major telecom provider alongside Globe and Smart — launched its registration system in compliance with the SIM Registration Act that took effect on December 27, 2022. The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) set July 25, 2023 as the final deadline for all existing subscribers.

New DITO subscribers must now register before their SIM card is activated — there is no grace period for new users. Existing users who have not yet registered must do so immediately to avoid deactivation.

Why Is DITO SIM Registration Required?

The SIM Registration Act was created for several important reasons that protect both individual users and the broader public:

  • Prevent Text Scams & Smishing: Unregistered SIMs were the primary tool used by scammers sending fake bank alerts and phishing messages. Registration makes perpetrators traceable.
  • Combat Identity Theft: By tying a SIM to a verified identity, fraudulent account takeovers become significantly harder to execute.
  • Reduce Cybercrime: Law enforcement agencies can now trace criminals who use mobile numbers to conduct illegal activities including terrorism coordination and online fraud.
  • Protect Your Number: A registered SIM is linked to your identity, making it harder for someone else to port or steal your number.
  • Access Full Network Benefits: Only registered SIMs can access the full range of DITO services including exclusive promos, bonus data, and loyalty rewards.

DITO SIM Registration for Special Cases

For Minors (Below 18 Years Old)

Minors cannot register a SIM under their own name. A parent or legal guardian must complete the registration using their own valid government-issued ID. The guardian’s consent is required, and their personal information will be used for the registration.

For Foreign Nationals and Tourists

Foreign nationals using a DITO SIM in the Philippines must submit a valid passport, proof of address in the Philippines, and a return ticket showing their departure date. Foreign nationals with longer stays may also need an Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR). The registration period for tourists is typically limited to their visa duration.

For Businesses and Corporate Entities

Companies registering a DITO SIM must provide an SEC Certificate of Registration, a Board Resolution designating the authorized representative, and a Special Power of Attorney (SPA) for juridical entities.

How to Check Your DITO SIM Registration Status

After submitting your registration, you can check your status through two methods:

  • DITO App: Log in and check the SIM Registration section on your dashboard. A status indicator will show if your registration is Pending, Approved, or Rejected.
  • Confirmation SMS: DITO sends an SMS notification once your registration is approved. If you do not receive it within 24–48 hours, contact DITO customer support at 185.
