While some memorable PlayStation 2 games should be explored, not every game on Sony’s classic console is worth devoting valuable time to. Some games have been downright awful and are still hammered by gaming communities in 2025.

Although it’s subjective, there are many releases gamers on almost every corner of the globe have agreed on. These games are being ignored and replaced by some undisputed PS2 favorites, such as Final Fantasy X, plus other popular modern-day options like online blackjack and Fortnite. Still, they’re worth highlighting so you don’t ruin your day with a horrible virtual escapade.

So, with that in mind, below is a brief lowdown on some genuinely terrible PS2 games to avoid in 2025.

Bad Boys: Miami Takedown

Despite providing plenty of comical value, that wasn’t the aim of Bad Boys: Miami Takedown. The game was meant to offer a serious look at gang life, but it was a title filled with embarrassing moments. The acting is abysmal, the graphics are poor, and it feels very un-Bad Boys from the offset. If you’re partial to a bit of Bad Boys, don’t let Bad Boys: Miami Takedown spoil the action comedy movies.

Little Britain: The Video Game

Little Britain, the British sketch comedy series, will be remembered by the millions of people who grew up watching it. While it might appear outdated, the game based on the show is even more so. Called Little Britain: The Video Game, it features some of the show’s leading characters sharing a plethora of controversial jokes. Not only does it become tiresome, but there isn’t anything to do with the product apart from exploring a one-off mini-game.

Crazy Frog Racer 2

It’s a video game based on one of the most annoying fictional characters from yesteryear, and the fact that they even released a second installment of a Crazy Frog game is mad in itself. In Crazy Frog Racer 2, gamers were left with a non-existent bike that their miniature frog was meant to be riding. At the same time, the music so many people never want to hear again resulted in another irritating offering. Simply put, Crazy Frog Racer 2 should never have been released.

Fight Club

Based on the much-loved movie Fight Club, it was a massive letdown. Not only was there no sign of Brad Pitt or Edward Norton’s characters in the game, but it also featured poor animations and horrible fighting mechanics. When it comes to Fight Club, stick with the movie.

Charlie’s Angels

Yet another game released after a movie’s success, Charlie’s Angels, felt like the devil made it. Nothing was good about it, from its inadequate gameplay to odd voiceovers.

American Idol

While this inclusion being labeled as a bad game isn’t surprising, many show fans expected the American Idol video game to deliver. In the end, though, it appeared to be nothing more than a cash-grab filled with terrible animations and an all-around painful gaming experience.

The Simpsons Skateboarding

As one of the world’s most famous animated sitcoms, The Simpsons has transitioned over to the gaming category of entertainment on numerous occasions. While some titles have been decent, The Simpsons Skateboarding was a distinctly shoddy product. From its poor graphics to annoying gameplay filled with praise after every trick is pulled off, The Simpsons Skateboarding is worth avoiding.

Special mention must include Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and Beverly Hills Cop.
