ST Holdings, the privately held international group with operations spanning financial services, technology, and infrastructure, has entered a new operational chapter under the leadership of Volha Havorchanka, who was formally appointed Chief Operating Officer in September 2023.

Havorchanka joined the group earlier that summer and stepped into the executive role just three months later. Since then, she has been instrumental in sharpening the company’s operational infrastructure across its jurisdictions in Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

Her appointment reflects a broader strategic evolution for ST Holdings, which has increasingly prioritised regulatory consistency, cross-border integration, and long-term structural growth.

A veteran of regulated finance, Havorchanka brings more than 15 years of industry experience to the role. She began her career at an FCA-regulated brokerage in London’s Heron Tower, gaining early exposure to capital markets, operational strategy, and compliance. Her trajectory has since included roles at Citigroup’s private banking arm, advisory work for international family offices, and board positions at regulated entities in the Caribbean.

Until recently, she also held multiple senior functions under the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority regime, including Compliance Officer, MLRO, and authorised Senior Manager roles. This combination of oversight and operational depth makes her one of the few executives with hands-on regulatory expertise across both UK and offshore markets.

“She has an unusual balance of technical precision and business instinct,” said one industry peer familiar with her work. “The systems she builds are not just robust, they’re sustainable.”

Since taking on the COO role at ST Holdings, Havorchanka has focused on refining internal controls, streamlining processes, and aligning multi-jurisdictional operations across the group’s portfolio. Those close to the firm say her influence is already visible in the group’s increased clarity around performance, risk management, and cross-border coordination.

Outside of the boardroom, she is known for her interest in art — holding qualifications from Christie’s Education — and for her investments in early-stage fintech ventures. She is also a visible advocate for inclusive leadership, particularly for women in senior financial roles.

“Operational strategy today is about more than execution,” Havorchanka noted during a recent leadership roundtable. “It’s about aligning culture, clarity, and long-term purpose.”If ST Holdings is indeed positioning itself for that future, it appears to be doing so with intention — and with the right leadership in place.
