Qualifications for eligibility

  • Obtain an award of credit in mathematics at the SPM grade or its equivalent* and complete foundational or matriculation coursework with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 from an accredited institution; OR
  • Get a credit in mathematics at the SPM level or its equivalent* and pass the STPM or its equivalent with at least a C (GP 2.00) in any two (2) subjects; OR
  • Obtain a credit in mathematics at the SPM level or its equivalent* and pass the A-level with at least a D in any two (2) subjects; OR
  • Pass the UEC with at least a B in five (5) courses, including English and mathematics*; OR
  • Obtain a credit in mathematics at the SPM level or its equivalent* and pass STAM with an adequate level of Jayyid in any TWO (2) topics; OR
  • A minimum CGPA of 2.50 is required for a diploma in computing (Level 4, MQF) or its equivalent. After a rigorous evaluation, applicants with a CGPA of greater than 2.00 but less than 2.50 may be admitted; OR
  • a credit in mathematics at the SPM level or its equivalent* and a diploma (Level 4, MQF) in non-computing with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 are required. After a thorough evaluation, applicants with a CGPA of greater than 2.50 but less than 2.75 may be admitted; OR
  • A requisite CGPA of 2.50 is required to pass the DKM, DLKM, or DVM in computing subjects, pending clearance from the Academic Board or HEP Senate.
  • Additional pertinent and comparable credentials accepted by the Malaysian government. Candidates may be accepted if they have one or more mathematics courses in their admissions credentials that are on par with SPM mathematics. If not, the SPM-level reinforcement mathematics course must be offered during the first semester or before enrolment with an unconditional offer; OR
  • Have an APEL. A is an MQA certificate to be admitted to bachelor’s programs.
