AVA GRACE MAY DRAMA ALERT! Social media starlet Ava Grace May just learned the hard way that ignoring a lawsuit is NOT the vibe! A Baltimore County judge handed down a default Order against the 21-year-old content creator on January 20th after she completely ghosted YouTuber Levi Trumbull’s defamation case—and honey, the tea is SCALDING!

The whole mess started when these two crossed paths on back in August 2024. Trumbull, a 26-year-old YouTuber with 118K subscribers, was seeking talent to co-host his channel about governemt and politics. May, who literally describes herself as “spreading good weirdness around the world,” jumped at the chance. After phone calls and emails, Trumbull picked May for the gig and they scheduled a meet-up at Starbucks in Frederick, Maryland, on August 21st, 2024.

But here’s where things get MESSY! According to court docs, Trumbull showed up with contracts and—wait for it—$100 CASH as a little “thank you for joining the team” gesture. But May got cold feet when she saw the paperwork, saying she needed more time to read it. No biggie, right? WRONG! May allegedly took both the contracts AND the Benjamin, promising to sign and return everything. Spoiler alert: she never did! And with that got Sued in Small Claims Court by Levi Trumbull

Fast forward to September 2025, and May drops a song called “Astral Stalking” on Spotify. The lyrics? Pure passive-aggressive GOLD! She’s singing about someone watching her “through your astral eyes” and needing “to put salt around my house” because “you’re stalking me.” Subtle? Not even close!

Trumbull tried taking the high road (his words, not ours!) by sending May an email on September 13th titled—you guessed it—”The High Road.” He basically said, “Hey, let’s squash this like adults,” and gave her 48 hours to respond. May’s response? CRICKETS

So on September 15th, Trumbull posted a YouTube video calling out May’s “Creepy” “Cringy”  content. The lawsuit points out that May LITERALLY markets herself using those exact words! Her Spotify bio says she spreads “good weirdness,” her TikTok is labeled “my tweaking account,” and her sister even calls her content “Weird Cringy.” The lawsuit is like, “He’s just repeating what SHE says about herself!”

But girl Ava was NOT having it! That same night at 9:53 PM, May took to Instagram and posted to her 1,500 followers: “THIS GUY HAS BEEN STALKING ME” and “And then harassed me and my family for months.” She also claimed Trumbull was “10 years older than me”—except he’s only FIVE years older! Sis can’t even get her facts straight when she’s trying to drag someone!

Here’s where it gets absolutely WILD. Less than 12 hours later, May posted MORE Instagram stories saying Trumbull’s video “did not hurt” her and was “f*cking hilariously bad” and “gives me recognition.” The lawsuit literally calls these admissions “devastating to any defense.” Like, pick a lane, Ava! Are you traumatized or are you laughing? You can’t be both! 😂

Trumbull wasn’t playing games. On September 16th, he sent May a cease-and-desist letter citing Maryland defamation law and demanding she take it all back by September 25th. May’s response? You already know—NOTHING!

But THEN—plot twist!—May filed for a peace order against Trumbull that same day, claiming he was harassing her. The court scheduled hearings, but May failed to properly serve Trumbull FOUR TIMES! After months of this nonsense, May just gave up and withdrew the whole thing on October 8th. The court was so done with her that they granted Trumbull’s request to seal the records, basically saying the whole petition was bogus!

Trumbull gave May ONE MORE CHANCE on November 19th, sending her a massive demand letter (we’re talking PAGES, people!) explaining exactly why she was wrong and giving her until December 5th to apologize. Once again: silence.

So Trumbull did what any self-respecting person would do—he SUED! He filed the defamation lawsuit on December 8, 2025, and hired a process server who personally handed May the paperwork at her home on December 10th 2025. The server literally put the documents in her hands while her sister watched. May made an “ughhh” sound (mood, honestly), grabbed the papers, got in a car, and drove off. (according to court records)

Under Maryland law, May had 30 days to file a response. The deadline? January 9, 2026. Did she file anything? Nope! Did she call a lawyer? Nope! Did she even send Trumbull a text saying “my bad”? NOPE!

On January 16th, Trumbull filed for a default judgment, basically telling the court, “Your Honor, she’s ghosting me!” His declaration includes a play-by-play of the process server handing May the documents, complete with her making that disgusted sound. The court paperwork even includes an SCRA check proving May isn’t in the military (because yes, they have to verify that stuff).

Judge said “granted” on January 20th! The order officially states May “failed to plead or otherwise defend as required by the Maryland Rules of Civil Procedure.” Translation: She played herself!

Now Trumbull can move forward with a damages hearing where he’s asking for AT LEAST $30,000! His lawsuit claims May’s posts caused him to receive THREATS from her followers, and damaged his reputation as a content creator, and forced him to take down his video because the harassment she purposely directed by publicly encouraging her followers to “spam” him.

The lawsuit also wants the court to ORDER May to post a public apology on Instagram admitting her accusations were false, plus slap her with a permanent ban on making any more defamatory statements about him. He’s also asking for interest and court costs!

May’s been radio silent through ALL of this—the cease-and-desist, the demand letter, the actual lawsuit, the service of process, and now the default judgment. At this point, girl might want to get a lawyer because this is NOT going away!

The moral of the story? Don’t make false accusations on Instagram, especially when you contradict yourself 12 hours later! And definitely don’t ignore a lawsuit and hope it disappears—because apparently, judges don’t appreciate being ghosted either! 💅⚖️ (AI usage for dramatization)
