I Finally Found a Way to Carry in the Heat Without Sag, Sweat, or Print

Let me be straight with you — carrying in the summer sucks.

It always sounds fine in theory. Tank top, gym shorts, IWB tucked tight… until you step outside and reality hits like a 100-degree slap. Suddenly you’re drenched. Your holster’s sliding. Your waistband rolls like you wrapped your gun in a wet towel. I’ve had days where I just left my gun at home, because I couldn’t trust the setup to stay put — let alone stay concealed.

That’s when I found Relaxxd Fit Tactical.

And no, this isn’t some paid post or affiliate gimmick. I literally stumbled onto them while looking for something — anything — that would let me carry during these brutal summer months without feeling like I was in a sauna strapped to a brick.

The Hot Weather Carry Problem Nobody Talks About

Most gear works fine when you’re wearing jeans and a belt. But swap that out for gym shorts or light summer clothes, and everything falls apart. Literally.

Print goes up. Retention goes down. And if you’re like me and move throughout the day — not just standing still at a range — then you know what I mean when I say it becomes a liability real quick.

I tried it all:

Belly bands (felt like wearing a wet sponge)

Clip-on holsters in athletic shorts (bounced like a yo-yo)

Even custom kydex rigs (looked great… until I had to move)

Nothing stuck. Until this.

The Only System That Actually Works in Real Life

Relaxxd Fit Tactical built a system I didn’t even realize I needed. Here’s how it works:

An inner belt — soft, full-loop Velcro that sits under your clothes, mounts your holster, and doesn’t move.

Outer gear — shorts, sweats, gym wear — all designed to lock in to that belt with interior attachment points.

The result? Your gun stays put. No flopping. No rolling. And your draw feels like it does in training — every time.

I’ve been wearing their shorts with this setup for the past month, and I can’t shut up about it. Running errands, working out, even just grilling in the backyard — it stays locked in. It doesn’t print. And most importantly… it doesn’t suck.

“But It’s Velcro…”

Yeah. That was my first thought too. I’ve had enough cheap Velcro fail to make me skeptical.

But this stuff? It’s not the kind of Velcro you find on kid’s shoes. I’ve squatted in it, sprinted in it, trained draws in 100° heat — no slippage. None. They even said they trashed entire batches of shorts during testing when the Velcro didn’t pass. That’s rare these days.

Could You DIY It?

Technically, sure. But unless you want to butcher your waistband, deal with peeling Velcro, and screw up your drawstring — good luck. I’ve tried modifying gear before. It’s a nightmare.

This system? Already dialed in. Just put it on and go.

Not Just Another Pair of “Tactical” Shorts

I’ve worn enough overpriced, overmarketed EDC clothing to be suspicious of anything that claims to “change the game.”

But this system actually does. It’s not about the clothes — it’s about the carry. One modular belt. Multiple shorts and joggers that snap into place. No more having to “relearn” your setup when you change outfits. And the best part? The price isn’t stupid. You get a full setup for what other companies charge for a single pair of plain shorts that don’t even help you carry.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve struggled with summer carry like I have — you owe it to yourself to try this. It’s the first time I’ve actually felt confident, comfortable, and cooled off while carrying concealed in the heat.

It’s not hype. It’s gear that works.
